A Place to Connect
Community Hub now open
The new Community Hub at NationsHeart is ready to serve.
The expanded FoodHut shop has shelves lined with goods to ready for anyone who has need.
In this current season of higher unemployment and strain on households, we have increased our stock so that more people can be helped.
The FoodHut provides the chance for people to shop for the food they need at low cost and receive a range of goods free of charge. The FoodHut receives no government support and is staffed completely by volunteers. Around 100 people are supported each year, either as regular members or in crisis response through vouchers or hampers.
The Community Lounge area in the Hub provides a space where people can meet and share and small groups can operate providing support and care for those who come.
Ways you can help
10c Bottle/can collection
The 10c bottle/can campaign will continue to help in purchasing goods and resources needed to sustain the FoodHut and the Hub.
We appreciate your partnership in this. The bottles and cans you have collected raised over $2700 towards the construction costs of the Hub!
Tax Deductible Donations
You can make tax deductible donations towards the Community Hub at any time through our charity umbrella organisation Fresh Hope Engage. Money given is channelled directly back to NationsHeart to be used only on community connection programs and needs.
